On July 11^th, 2022, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Coastal Empire (RMHC-CE) entered its 35th year of Keeping Families Together and near the care and resources they need. In 1987 when the doors opened to our 1^st guest families, we created a Home Away from Home environment for those that needed it the most. In the last 35 Years, we have provided over 100,000 family night stays to the most critically ill & injured children and their families.

Just 176 steps from the front doors of Memorial Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. Everything offered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of the Coastal Empire is offered at no cost thanks to generous community support here in the Coastal Empire. 

On July 11th, 2022, over 150 guests help celebrate this milestone at Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano- honoring those past and current individuals who have made a difference in the Savannah community. Although the event was a thank you for the past 35 years, over $30,000 was donated to help ensure that the House continues to server this community 24/7/365- as Children are sick on a Tuesday, Christmas Day or during a pandemic.
