AIA Savannah announces their recently confirmed 2023 Executive Board. This will be the organization's 69th year in operation and the new board will take effect on January 1, 2023.

Three new leaders have been elected to the 2023 Board and include: Jodie Quinter, AIA of FXCollaborative as President Elect, Shaderricka Huff, Assoc. AIA of Hansen Architects as Advocacy Director and Katherine Schuff, AIA, CDT, NCARB as Education Director.

Jodie Quinter is an architect at FXCollaborative and co-chair of FXWomxn, an employee resource group at the firm. She has served on the National Associates Committee for the AIA and, in doing so, has come to deeply value providing guidance to a new generation of professionals. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Miami University, and is a registered architect in Georgia. Quinter currently works for FXCollaborative in a remote position. The firm is an award-winning architecture, urban design, and interior design firm committed to design excellence, social responsibility, and sustainability based in New York City.

Shaderricka Huff is from Pensacola, FL and served in the Air Force for about 8 years before pursuing architecture. She is a Florida A&M alum and recent SCAD graduate. She’s been practicing with Hansen Architects for the past 3 years and now holds a Master Degree of Architecture. She is currently working on becoming a licensed architect and claiming her number as a minority architect and intends to create positive change through architecture.

Katherine Schuff is an architect who joined LS3P Associates in 2015 and moved to their Savannah office in 2019.  She received a Master of Architecture from Tulane University in 2014, with minors in Historic Preservation and Italian.  She has experience in a variety of commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and education projects across the southeast, and is especially passionate about adaptive reuse and incorporating new design into the existing historical context.

The organization is excited to continue its mission as a professional service organization serving our community as stewards of Savannah’s distinguished architectural heritage while providing continuing education, political advocacy, networking, and leadership development for its members.  The slated board will also continue to raise public awareness of the work of architects and designers in our local communities.
