St. Joseph's/Candler's Foundations Board Welcomes Elizabeth Lientz Macfadyen
Friday, September 23rd, 2022
With extensive leadership experience in both corporate communications and volunteer projects and a lifelong focus on her community, Elizabeth Lientz Macfadyen will be an invaluable asset to the St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundations Board of Trustees. The Board is thrilled to welcome her as a new member.
Macfadyen is a Savannah native. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she worked as a legislative assistant and speech writer for Congressman Jack Kingston. Macfadyen spent several years in the United Kingdom, serving in various positions in the field of marketing, public relations and communications.
After returning to Savannah, Macfadyen dove into volunteer work, most notably as the Head of Sponsorship for the Junior League of Savannah. She also volunteers for the Over the Moon Diaper Bank and the Ogeechee Watershed Project. Her commitment to community support reflects the work of her grandfather, James R. Lientz. The mission of St. Joseph’s/Candler is forever intertwined with the legacy of Mr. Lientz, a former Candler Hospital Board Chairman and community activist who was instrumental not only in the success of the health system but in other organizations and agencies including the United Way, Goodwill and the Health Planning Council of Savannah.
Macfadyen is the Director of Business Development and Marketing at THA Group. She is married with three children.
