Monday, October 3rd, 2022

Plant Riverside District’s Electric Moon Skytop Lounge will present a special version of its weekly outdoor live music series “Moon Deck LIVE at Electric Moon,” with event proceeds being donated to the Telfair Mammography Fund at St. Joseph’s/Candler in Savannah, Ga. to provide no-cost mammogram screenings for area women in need.

In addition, the iconic Plant Riverside District smokestacks will be illuminated with pink lighting in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and a portion of the proceeds from special pink cocktail sales, sponsored by Wheatley Vodka and Sazerac, will be donated to the Telfair Mammography Fund.

Every Thursday throughout October, Moon Deck LIVE will feature female-led bands and charge a $10 cover at the door. All proceeds will be donated to the Telfair Mammography Fund at St. Joseph’s/Candler.

“Breast cancer has unfortunately impacted the lives of so many women in our community,” said Scotty Henley, Director of Entertainment at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. “With October’s Breast Cancer Awareness focus, we plan to celebrate breast cancer survivors with upbeat live performances and to raise money to help make mammograms more accessible to area women.”
