The Savannah Book Festival (SBF) announces Jack Carr, #1 New York Times bestselling author and former Navy SEAL, as the Opening Address Headliner Author. SBF celebrates its 16th year as one of the finest, invitation-only literary festivals in the country. It will be held February 16-19, 2023.
Jack Carr will present the Opening Address on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 6:30 pm. He is the author of The Terminal List, True Believer, Savage Son, The Devil’s Hand, and In the Blood. The Terminal List was adapted into the #1 Amazon Prime Video series starring Chris Pratt. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare, Jack transitioned from enlisted SEAL Sniper to commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in Southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of US Forces. He is also the host of the top-rated podcast “Danger Close”.
Mr. Carr’s new book, In the Blood continues James Reece’s global journey of vengeance as he enlists friends across the globe to track down a killer, unaware that he may be walking into a trap.
The Opening Address will be presented at the historic Lucas Theater for the Arts. Tickets for the Opening Address will go on sale to the public in January 2023. Presale for sponsors and LITERATI members will be available before the public sale in January.
