Members of the United Way of the Coastal Empire board and staff proudly received a generous check in the amount of $10,000 from Hyundai Hope during a special check presentation at the United Way office. The donation will support United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Community Fund specifically benefitting programming related to mental health and wellness.
“Hyundai Hope is committed to improving the well-being of communities, which we know starts with basic needs like health, safety, and access to food and nutrition,” said Brandon Ramirez, director, corporate social responsibility and external relations, Hyundai Motor America. “We are inspired by the work that United Way of the Coastal Empire is doing to uplift the people it serves and are pleased to play a part in providing resources that will support the surrounding communities.”
"They have just broken ground and already Hyundai has shown us the kind of community partner they intend to be by thoughtfully contributing to causes that make our community stronger,” says Brynn Grant, president and CEO, United Way of the Coastal Empire. “We are honored and grateful they have chosen to support the United Way Community Fund this way."
United Way of the Coastal Empire is nearing the end of its traditional Fall Giving Campaign with only three weeks left. Last year, United Way improved the lives of more than 206,000 people through the programs and services it funds and the direct services it provides to people in need across Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty Counties.
