Brightside Advocacy Seeks Holiday Sponsors for Children in Foster Care
Staff Report
Tuesday, November 8th, 2022
As we enter the holiday season, Brightside Child & Family Advocacy seeks community members to fulfill holiday wishlists of children in foster care.
While children all over Chatham County are starting to write their holiday wishlists and letters to Santa, it's important to remember some children are living in the uncertainty of foster care. Instead of getting excited about Santa coming, they attend court hearings, adjust to new foster homes, and transition to new schools. It’s a heavy burden to carry, made even more difficult by being away from their families during the holidays.
Brightside Advocacy believes children experiencing foster care deserve to have the joy of presents under a Christmas tree or gifts to open during Hanukkah. But to make this happen, the generosity of our community is needed. By signing up to sponsor a child this holiday season, you can ensure every child in foster care experiences the magic of the holidays.
