Joy of Christmas Announced
Friday, December 9th, 2022
Get in the Christmas spirit with a festive, family-oriented concert at Christ Church Episcopal on Tuesday, December 20, at 7:00 p.m.! After a hiatus due to COVID-19, this
beloved tradition is back for its 7th year. Hear the Savannah Brass Quintet and the Christ Church Choir, and join in singing favorite holiday carols! Come early to get a seat, as admission is free and seating is on a first-come basis. A freewill offering will be taken to support Emmaus House, a local non-profit organization serving the homeless community of Savannah.
Located in downtown Savannah Georgia, Emmaus House works tirelessly to fulfill their mission to provide meals and basic services to those in need in collaboration with the Savannah community. Open Monday-Friday, hot meals, laundry, showers and clothing are provided to individuals in need. Emmaus House provides a space where individuals experiencing homelessness and hunger can find respite. For more information about Emmaus House visit www.unitedministriessavannah.org
Christ Church Episcopal was the first house of worship in the colony of Georgia and was founded in 1733 with the establishment of the colony. Maintaining the spirit of our earliest days, we strive to be a house of prayer where all are welcome. We are a community centered in worship and seek a deeper connection with God and one another. The sense of joy that people experience at Christ Church derives from an intentional effort to create and sustain a spirit of joy and wonder in all that we do. We pray that we may share the joy and love of God that we have experienced and be strengthened to live as servant leaders for Savannah, the Episcopal Church and the world. www.christchurchsavannah.org
