15th Annual Dancing with Savannah Stars Launch Party
Monday, January 23rd, 2023
Brightside Child & Family Advocacy announces the launch of its 15th annual Dancing with Savannah Stars signature fundraising event. This event will be held on January 24th, 5:30-7:30 pm at Cha Bella in Savannah.
The 2023 participating dancers include Latrell Gulotta, Nikki Parks, Sally Helm, Corey Howard, Evan Goetz, Brittany Rawl, Trish Brown, Kenyatta Roebuck, Will Gruver, Marti Tomlin, and Jordan Sophia Alexander. All participants are challenged to raise $15,000 each, benefiting Brightside Advocacy.
The efforts of each 2023 Savannah Star will ensure that every child in foster care has a CASA volunteer working to increase the child’s access to services, promote safety, and advocate for permanency. Research has shown that children with a CASA volunteer fare much better in the child welfare system and in adulthood than those who do not.
“This event is not only a fun opportunity to come together as a community and bring awareness to the needs of our children in foster care, but it serves as a vital part of fulfilling our mission by raising much-needed funds to enhance and grow our programs. Our team works hard to ensure that children with highly traumatic experiences have the support that they need by training volunteers, providing parental resources, and creating healthy family relationships,” says Kate Blair, Executive Director of Brightside Advocacy.
All of the funds raised from the campaign will be used to support Brightside Advocacy’s Savannah CASA and Bright House programs. With the support of our neighbors, Chatham County can become a community where every child is given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home
