Harambee House WEJTP's 2023 Worker Education & Job Training Class

The Harambee House Worker Education & Job Training Program (WEJTP) is currently starting our 2023 Worker Education and Job Training class. The interviews and assessment testing has started but we are still looking to add participants to our porgram. Our classes will be held from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The class will be held at the Goodwill located at 7220 Sallie Mood Dr Savannah, Ga 31406.
This training program is focused on providing federal certification-level training for occupations in the environmental and green job industries.The Worker Education and Job Training program will take place from April 10th - June 30th.
The training covers Weatherization 101, HAZMAT, HAZWoper-40, Asbestos Remediation and refresher, RRP (Repair, Renovate, Paint), Initial Lead Worker, OSHA, Solar, Emergency Preparedness, solar, and Response, and CERT- 24/CEMA.
The Harambee House / Citizens for Environmental Justice continues its twenty years of providing environmental and green technology training and the resources necessary to ensure that eligible members of the greater Savannah community can acquire skills relevant for the 21st and 22nd Centuries. This training provides information and awareness to the Savannah community of hazard containment and remediation, environmental clean-up, and ecological sustainability.
