Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Reopens Following Repairs
Monday, June 26th, 2023

Levees (31 miles of them), canals, ditches, and water control structures are critical to keeping saltwater out and freshwater in. Hurricane Irma destroyed the Diversion Canal in 2017 impacting 70% of the impoundments or casually known as the ponds.
