City Requests Proposals for New Archives’ Residency Program
Thursday, July 13th, 2023
The City’s Municipal Archives announces the 2023-2024 Savannah Community Memory Project (SCMP) Residency - a program that offers a new opportunity for residents to tell Savannah’s story in their own voices. One resident or resident team will be selected to share and preserve the unique history of a specific Savannah community through community engagement, youth engagement and educational elements.
The residency’s goal is to enhance the SCMP by bringing new perspectives and a targeted approach to the collection, documentation, and distribution of community memory and history.
There is a pre-bid meeting scheduled on Friday, July 28 at 2:00pm at the Floyd Adams, Jr. Complex, those interested in submitting a proposal are encouraged to come though it is not mandatory.
More details about the residency request for proposals and the submission portal are available at savannahga.gov/SCMPResidency. The portal will close on Tuesday, September 5 at 1:30 p.m.
