Electric Moon at Plant Riverside District Announces Summer “Mix It Up at the Moon” Mixology Classes Featuring BACARDÍ Rum, Buffalo Trace Distillery

Electric Moon Skytop Lounge, a popular rooftop bar at Plant Riverside District in Savannah, Ga., recently announced the line-up for the monthly Mix It Up at the Moon mixology series for July and August 2023.
Electric Moon’s interactive cocktail classes feature master mixologists and brand ambassadors from across the region and around the globe. Attendees also enjoy the opportunity to learn how to make signature appetizers designed to pair with featured Mix It Up at the Moon cocktails from the acclaimed culinary team at Plant Riverside District.

BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO & BACARDÍ SUPERIOR
Wednesday, July 12 — 5:30 p.m.
Iconic BACARDÍ rums will be the focus of the July Mix It Up at the Moon class, with Reuben Gibson and Will Sprewell from Bacardi USA leading guests through interactive cocktail demonstrations incorporating BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho and BACARDÍ Superior. Created in 1862, BACARDÍ Reserva is one of the oldest private rum blends in the world. Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel-aged reserve rums and aged for a minimum of eight years, giving it a refined flavor with notes of apricot, nutmeg and vanilla. BACARDÍ Superior stands apart one of the world’s leading rums and is ideal for a wide range of handcrafted cocktails.

Wednesday, August 16 — 5:30 p.m.
Buffalo Trace Distillery, the oldest continuously operating distillery in America, will showcase cocktails crafted with the award-winning Wheatley Vodka as well as signature Buffalo Trace bourbons at the August Mix It Up at the Moon class, which will be led by Sazerac brand ambassador Eric Heine. Wheatley Vodka is an artisanal vodka that is made in small batches at Buffalo Trace’s Frankfort, Ky. distillery using a one-of-a-kind micro-still and a special blend of wheat and other grains.
