Join Savannah Children's Museum for Annual 'Healthy Me!' Event

Friday, July 7th, 2023

Savannah Children’s Museum will host a day of family fun, educating our children about healthy living, while showcasing many health and wellness programs and a great roster of community partners. The event, called “Healthy Me!” will take place on Saturday, August 12th from 10 am to 1 pm at Savannah Children’s Museum, 655 Louisville Rd. Savannah, GA 31401.

“Savannah Children’s Museum is excited for our annual Healthy Me! event.  Educational themes like science, music, art, and environmentalism make learning healthy habits easy and fun,” says Coastal Heritage Society Education Specialist, Elisabeth Chappell. “Collaborating with our health-focused partners, we hope to inspire families to make smart food choices, become more active, and to practice good hygiene.  While it is never too late to make healthy changes, research suggests that the earlier your children learn healthy behaviors, the better.  We hope you will join us for a joyous day celebrating happy and healthy people!”

Many of our healthy lifestyle partners are participating in Healthy Me!, including Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry, TRIBE Savannah, Georgia Bikes, Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital, and Soccer Shots! Mercer Medical School will host a teddy bear clinic where children can bring stuffed animals in for a wellness checkup. Savannah Children’s Museum educators will be leading health and wellness-themed activities throughout the day as well.

“Healthy Me!” is included in the cost of Savannah Children’s Museum admission, $10 for all guests 18 months and older. Purchase tickets ahead of time here. As always, this event is FREE for Coastal Heritage Society members!

This event is sponsored by: Dogwood Pediatric Dentistry and Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital.
