Tuesday, September 19th, 2023

Author and chef Rebekah Faulk Lingenfelser will visit Golden Isles Olive Oil Gourmet Market & Wine Bar on St. Simons Island, 1609 Frederica Rd., this Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 3 - 5 p.m. for a book signing featuring her best-selling memoir, Some Kinda Good, Good Food and Good Company, That’s What It’s All About. A 283-page coffee table-style publication, the book features nearly 25 Southern, coastal recipes, 26 Georgia restaurant reviews and more than 100 color photographs, including a compilation of short stories highlighting Lingenfelser’s national TV cooking competitions, her journey through culinary school and family traditions. The book signing event is free and open to the public.

“Rebekah’s delectable writing invites readers to relax in a rocking chair on the front porch and sip on a tall glass of iced tea while she serves up stories of Southern hospitality and food traditions,” said LeeAnna Tatum, editor and publisher of Southern Soil magazine. “Her book is the perfect recipe of personal experiences blended with cooking tips and life lessons, seasoned with her own blend of Southern sass.”

Lingenfelser was a top 10 finalist on Season 14 of Food Network Star, and has served as the Statesboro Herald food columnist for more than a decade. A Georgia Southern University alumna with a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations, Lingenfelser will graduate from the Culinary Institute of Savannah this December. She is a regular contributor for Southern Soil, Effingham Living and Discovering Bulloch magazines. Her second book, “Unique Eats and Eateries of Savannah,” will debut in the spring of 2024 with Reedy Press. For more information, visit RebekahLingenfelser.com or email [email protected].
