Homeless Authority launches 'Give Change That Counts' Initiative Supporting Area's Day Centers

Savannah business leaders, government officials, and homeless service providers are working to provide an alternative to panhandling in the city.
The Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless unveiled the first of over 100 street signs that will be displayed across the Hostess City, as part of their "Give Change That Counts Initiative." Officials say they are hoping to encourage visitors and residents to contribute to one of four homeless day centers rather than giving handouts to those set up in public spaces.
