The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, Inc. is excited to host their annual Savannah Day of Peace: Peace in the Park event on Sunday, October 1st, from 12 to 4 pm, at Daffin Park. An intentional peacebuilding event designed to bring all sectors of our community together.

Join us at Daffin Park to celebrate our 2023 Peacebuilder Award Honorees: Tim Jordan, Reverend John Ruehl, Linda Wilder-Bryan, Cpl. Julie Cavanaugh, Beatriz Severson, Brittany Curry, and Eeshani Malkar.  These individuals are being recognized for how they advocate, encourage, and bring about peace in our community and decrease conflict. Peacebuilders will be honored on stage at Daffin Park at 2 pm on Sunday, October 1st. 

Also on stage are local performers who will share their talent and promote peace! Between 12pm - 4 pm, look for the following performers on stage:  DJ Doc Ock, Kid Maestro, Itz*Nobi, CJ Giovanni, Rekwan Da Rev, Marleaux Jones, Izreal Graham, Deep Center Poets, and the Front Porch Steppers.

Peace in the Park is a community event to unite in our shared interests of a healthy community and positive relationships.  We encourage all organizations, businesses, and families to show up for peace.  Imagine Daffin Park full of community members, local resources, food trucks, entertainment, and activities for kids.  Be part of the human peace sign we’ll make at the roundabout in Daffin Park after the Peacebuilder awards and our peace walk.  We’re looking forward to filling Daffin Park for peace!
