A.B. Williams Elementary Holds Garden Ribbon Cutting

On Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, the students and staff at Andrea B. Williams Elementary School held a ribbon cutting for their new garden. Students planted the first sprouts and shared their knowledge about the various plants that will be in the garden. The City of Savannah Park and Tree Commission also donated fruit trees for the garden.
This garden was made possible through the Big Green educational gardening nonprofit. In July, 18 SCCPSS schools were awarded $2,000 grants and a Learning Garden raised bed kit from Big Green.
