CURE Childhood Cancer to Hold Football-themed Homecoming Fundraiser

Friday, October 20th, 2023

CURE Childhood Cancer, the only organization providing financial and emotional support to local children and families while raising funds to further critical research specifically for pediatric oncology, will hold its annual Homecoming event on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at Forest City Gun Club, 9203 Ferguson Ave.

The event will be a football-themed celebration with delicious tailgate-inspired food, drinks, and plenty of exciting college football to cheer for on multiple screens.

“We are excited to host our annual Homecoming again this year,” said CURE Vice President, South Georgia Mandy Garola. “This event is a great way for our community to come together and support our mission to find a cure for childhood cancer. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors and donors, and we look forward to raising critical funds to support our research efforts.”

During halftime, CURE will present a short video detailing the story of a child and his family bravely fighting cancer while enrolled in precision medicine. Funds raised at Homecoming will further the research of precision medicine, an approach that tailors treatment to the individual characteristics of each patient and their disease.

Homecoming sponsors include: EnviroVac, West Construction, Daniel Reed Hospitality, and Thomas and Hutton.

Tickets and information on multiple sponsorship opportunities can be found at childhoodcancer.org/homecoming.
