Ambassador James Jeffrey, Former ambassador to Iraq and Turkey, and Special Envoy to the Global Coalition To Defeat ISIS, former Deputy National Security Advisor (2007–2008), currently Chair of the Middle East Program at the Wilson Center will present:

"The New World Disorder" 

Ambassador Jeffrey will discuss the unique situation the world faces with aggressive Russia and China governments overthrowing international rules, with the immediate goals to conquer Ukraine and to pressure Taiwan, but at the strategic level, to overthrow the American-led post World War II collective security system and the global financial, trade, and legal order which rests on that system.  The current system has brought peace, prosperity and political liberty not just to American citizens but populations around the world since 1945.  Ambassador Jeffrey will discuss that system/order, the ways it is being challenged, the goals of the challengers, and in his view how this will all end.
