#1 Bestselling Author David Grann to Deliver Savannah Book Festival Closing Address

The Savannah Book Festival (SBF) announces David Grann to deliver the Closing Address on Sunday, February 18, 2024. David Grann is the #1 New York Times bestselling author and award-winning staff writer at The New Yorker magazine. His newest book The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder is a mesmerizing story of shipwreck, survival, and savagery, culminating in a court martial that reveals a shocking truth. Grann is also the author of Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, which documents one of the most sinister crimes and racial injustices in American history. The book has been adapted into the upcoming Martin Scorsese-directed film of the same name starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone. His first book, The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into more than twenty-five languages. The New York Times, Washington Post, and Entertainment Weekly chose it as one of the best books of 2009.

SBF is celebrating its 17th year as one of the finest, invitation-only literary festivals in the country. It will be held February 15-18, 2024. David Grann will present the Closing Address on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Trustees Theater. Tickets for the Opening Address will go on sale to the public on January 11, 2024.
