CareSource, a mission-driven Medicaid plan serving more than 450,000 Georgians, recently recognized the Pediatric Associates of Savannah with its CareSource Quality Achievement Award for being one of the top providers in the state for overall quality performance in 2022. CareSource will also be making a donation to Urban Hope on Pediatric Associates of Savannah’s behalf in recognition of their award.   

Pediatric Associates of Savannah received the CareSource Quality Achievement Award for their exceptional performance in measures such as well-child visits, childhood and adolescent immunizations and developmental screenings in the first 3 years of life.

CareSource works with health care providers across the state to implement value-based care initiatives designed to improve health and wellness. As a result of the initiative, 65.43% of Pediatrics Associates of Savannah’s patients aged 0 and 15 months were seen for their well-child visits, compared with Georgia’s average of 58.40%. Additionally, 80.77% of patients aged 15 to 30 months were seen for their well-child visits, compared with Georgia’s average of 66.75%. Partnering with providers who recognize the importance of offering value-based care has allowed CareSource to double the number of its members in Georgia who see a provider that participates in a value-based care model.
