The Port Wentworth Chamber of Commerce will host its 12^th annual Oyster Roast, BBQ, and Music Festival from 1-9 p.m. on Veterans’ Day, Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7224 GA-21, Port Wentworth, GA.  This free event will honor veterans and culminate in entertainment by Luke Lander and headliner, Hannah Dasher, followed by a fireworks display.

This annual festival is free and open to the public and offers an extra special concert for the community.  Rising country music singer and songwriter, Hannah Dasher is an Effingham County native and will be performing a 75-minute free concert before a firework display ends this highly anticipated community festival.  Country music singer Luke Lander will also be performing, and the festival will feature a variety of food vendors, beer/wine, kid’s activities and of course, fresh steamed oysters by the bucket from 3 pm, until they sell out!  Veterans will be honored by the singing of the national anthem, a special salute, and a military appreciation tent. 

“We are grateful to the City of Port Wentworth for their continued support, which allows us to host this popular event each year,” said Board Chair, Trisha Boyett. “We welcome everyone to join us and enjoy a good time and an exciting concert and fireworks with the members of the Port Wentworth community!”

Tickets are not required to attend this event. Food, beverages, and souvenirs will be available for purchase through individual vendors. It is recommended that children wear socks and close toed shoes to participate in the Kids Zone activities and bring ear plugs for the nighttime firework show. Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome to attend this event.
