The Port Wentworth Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting and celebration for the grand opening of Port Wentworth’s newest restaurant, Georgia Comfort Kitchen, at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023. Georgia Comfort Kitchen is located at 109 Traveler’s Way in Port Wentworth. 

Georgia Comfort Kitchen will feature a full menu all day, lunch buffet, and full bar. The restaurant is co-owned by Joey McDermott and Pulkit Chawla. Executive Chef Roody Samson will create daily specials for the buffet, which will be open seven days a week and will showcase local favorites such as fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens.

“I am happy to partner with Pulkit on Georgia Comfort Kitchen, as we have both made Georgia our home. From southern favorites to other special inspirations, the menu will consist of something for everyone,” said McDermott. “We are thrilled to be opening up in Port Wentworth, a beautiful city with many new things on the horizon!”
