Southeastern OBGYN, Office Administrator, to Lead Local Effort Driving Equitable Health
Wednesday, November 1st, 2023
As plans are underway for the 2024 Southern Coast Heart Ball, Angie Jackson, Office Administrator for Southeastern OBGYN, has been named chair of this year’s community-wide campaign. The Heart Ball celebrates progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association’s Heart of the Southern Coast, a year-round effort aimed at investing in and saving and improving lives in the Savannah community.
“Angie Jackson is the ideal person to head our 2024 Southern Coast Heart Ball campaign,” says Ansley Howze, executive director for the Association. “As a trusted member of this community and healthcare worker, she understands the impact the mission and work of the American Heart Association can have on every person who lives in our community.”
“Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years and married to a Physician, I have become passionate about health in general,” says Jackson, 2024 Southern Coast Heart Ball Chair. “I'm determined to leverage what I have learned to help people live healthier lifestyles. Right here in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death, claiming more lives than all cancers and diseases combined. I want to help. Together we can all make a difference.”
The 2024 Southern Coast Heart Ball is slated for March 29th at the Savannah Marriott. The annual event is a night to celebrate the Association’s year-round efforts to drive health equity in Savannah and Hilton Head communities. Throughout the evening the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, will honor volunteers and patrons, feature stories of survivors, and entertain guests with dinner, dancing and an exciting auction.
