Step One Automotive Group announces a month-long Christmas Collection for the Emmaus House, a local nonprofit that provides people in need with essential survival items. Step One Automotive Group locations at 1011 Chatham Center Drive, 8701 Abercorn Street in Savannah and 5400 Altama Avenue in Brunswick will collect food items, hygiene products and winter clothing from December 1st through December 31st.

“At Step One Automotive Group, we understand how important our local nonprofits are especially during the holiday season. This is why our Georgia market will be collecting much-needed items through our stores for the month of December to help an organization that provides the most basic of needs,” states Step One Marketing Manager Weslyn “Mahogany” Bowers. “Throughout the year, we work with nonprofits like Habitat for Humanity, the Veterans Council of Chatham County and Renegade Paws Rescue as a way to give back to our local community,” adds Bowers.

“1 in 6 households in Chatham County lives below the poverty line and 14% of residents experience food insecurity. At Emmaus House, those suffering the most in Savannah have access to basic human needs - no questions asked. We believe that everyone deserves a hot meal, clean clothes, hot shower and a sense of dignity,” shares Emmaus House Executive Director Ariana Berksteiner. “We thank you the Step One team for helping make a difference in the day to day needs of our Savannah population,” adds Berksteiner.
