Moneyville by VicTreeFi is a company dedicated to helping Girl Scouts of all ages earn badges virtually by providing an online platform and community where parents and troop leaders can shop for live Zoom workshops, on-demand courses, and in-person project kits. This fall, they have partnered with the Doki Doki Ice Creamery of Savannah, GA, to create content that promotes crucial financial literacy concepts to their Girl Scout users. Throughout the fall season, Moneyville and Doki Doki will collaborate on a social media campaign, using this content they’ve created together, to encourage their Girl Scout audience to engage in “smart spending” and utilize Moneyville’s educational resources in helping them learn how to do so.

Although Moneyville has grown into much more now, their main focus from the start was always providing fun and engaging educational content surrounding financial literacy badges. They still offer a large range of courses and workshops that fall within that category and recently set out to further popularize this movement by pairing up with Savannah’s newest ice creamery, a company and brand they knew would intrigue Girl Scouts, while also being located in the epicenter of the Girl Scout community–Savannah, GA. This social media campaign was created with the theme “Savings and Scoops - Smart Spending at the Ice Creamery” where photographs and videos depict Girl Scouts applying financial concepts like budgeting, analyzing options, counting coins, etc. during their trip to the ice cream shop. All of the content designed can be viewed on both the company's social media platforms as well as Moneyville’s website throughout the remainder of the fall season (find said links below).

With its female CEO, Chrissy Flemming, as a former Girl Scout and finance fanatic, Moneyville originally began as a way to provide Girl Scouts with online workshops surrounding financial literacy - a topic that she noticed is often overlooked for young women. Now almost 3 years from the program’s launch, it has grown into something momentous! The Moneyville team currently partners with over 50 Girl Scout councils across the country and has expanded to provide even more workshop topics, including themes like graphic design, science, theater, electrical engineering, history, computer coding, and more. Moneyville continues to grow every day by constantly hiring new additions to the team, partnering with new councils, and developing unique content to provide Girl Scouts with an entertaining and accessible way to earn badges. Beyond being thrilled about the platform’s growth into new educational fields, they are even more excited to continue further promoting financial literacy education to their Girl Scout audience in this new collaboration with their friends at Doki Doki Ice Creamery.
