The Dear Diary Zine Collective, an Unblushing Media division, will debut its first printed project, Dear Diary Issue 01, at Coastal Empire Beer Co. on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 3-9 PM. Local Savannah music artists ItZ*Nobi, Cyd, GRLFOE, and Dusty Joy, along with DJ Professor Beam, are scheduled to perform throughout the event.

The 72-page project is an anthology of prose, illustrations, poetry, and essays revealing intimate thoughts and stories through diary entries. It features 27 contributors from across America and has strong 912 representation with pieces from Savannah writers and artists Minna Ilse Kast, Yan Aaikn, Rebecca Hope, Adrienne Berkland, Nix, Melody Quintero, Shanna Marie, Julia Miller, Melissa Alanis, Lila Miller, Meagan Pusser, Venus, and Darriea Clark.

Clark, author of Good Girl and cast member of Netflix’s Snowflake Mountain, is both the founder of Unblushing Media and editor for Dear Diary. “I love to see how much the community is coming together to support a project like this. To be able to collaborate with such talented artists and well-known businesses has been a venture beyond my wildest dreams. I’m so excited to celebrate the launch of Dear Diary with my community, my friends, my family.”

The launch is the first opportunity for zine lovers to see the book and buy their own copy. Just in time for the holidays, guests can buy last-minute Christmas gifts for themselves and loved ones. Along with enjoying the musical acts, attendees will be able to write diary entries, listen to contributors read excerpts from the book, sign up to join the collective, and shop Dear Diary print products, merch, and goodies. Other Unblushing Media books, such as Good Girl and the flow series, will also be for sale.
