Savannah VOICE Festival Announces “Holiday Voices” Concert On Dec. 5 To Support Voice Scholarship Program

Friday, December 1st, 2023

The Savannah VOICE Festival (SVF) will celebrate the holiday season with a “Holiday VOICES” concert at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5 at Christ Church Episcopal, located at 28 Bull Street in Savannah. Proceeds from this concert will support scholarships for the upcoming season’s Milnes VOICE educational programs.

Patrons can expect a wonderful evening of holiday themed music performed by some of SVF’s finest artists, including tenors Peter Lake, Minghao Liu, soprano Congcong Wang, and baritone and Executive Director Chad Sonka with Artistic Director Jorge Parodi on piano. Co-Founder and President of the Milnes VOICE Programs, Maria Zouves, will host the evening. All concert goers are invited to a post-concert reception that will feature cookies and hot cocoa with Santa.

Maria Zouves and all the artists invite the community to join them and get into the spirit of the season. “This holiday concert helps provide scholarships for The Milnes VOICE Program singers. Since our earliest beginnings, we have had the mission of providing resources and mentorship to young, talented artists. This concert is a wonderful way to support that mission,” Zouves explains.

Tickets for “Holiday VOICES” are $45 for a standard ticket and $15 for students and members of the military that present valid ID at the door. Scholarship tickets are also available for $250 that directly support artists for the 2024 Milnes VOICE Programs. Along with the post-concert reception for all, scholarship tickets will include a pre-concert wine and cheese reception and premium concert seating. Children 10 and under can attend for free.

This event is sponsored by the Morris Family in memory of Peg Morris and with the kind hospitality of an SVF long time venue partner, Christ Church Episcopal.
