Moneyville by VicTreeFi is a company dedicated to helping Girl Scouts of all ages earn badges virtually by providing an online platform and community where parents and troop leaders can complete live Zoom workshops, on-demand courses, and in-person project kits. This fall, they have partnered with Scribble Art Studio of Savannah, GA, to create and host brand new workshops that help their Girl Scout users across the country earn art-related badges!
Although Moneyville’s first main focus was providing fun and engaging educational content surrounding financial literacy badges, due to the high level of interest they have now expanded to offering a larger range of courses and live workshops, including a variety of art-themed classes. Some of their most recently hosted art event listings were “Graphic Design Patch Creation,” “Oyster Art Creation,” and “Create Your Own Comic Book.” These new creative classes became very popular among their Girl Scout users, which pushed Moneyville’s team to begin developing new craft-related content and eventually led them to partner with Geoff and Paige Byrne of Scribble Art Studio – a popular art studio in Savannah, GA, that offers an array of arts and crafts classes. Following a successful first workshop together, “Drawing with Glitter,” on November 8, Scribble and Moneyville now plan to continue offering more collaborative workshops in the future. Some upcoming events Girl Scouts can expect include the “Outdoor Art Assemblage” workshop on December 6 and the “Ice Cream Cone Sculpture” workshop on December 17, while they are planning to offer even more co-hosted events into the start of 2024.
With its female CEO, Chrissy Flemming, as a former Girl Scout and finance fanatic, Moneyville originally began as a way to provide Girl Scouts with online workshops surrounding financial literacy - a topic that she noticed is often overlooked for young women. Now 3 years from the program’s launch, it has grown into something momentous! The Moneyville team currently partners with over 50 Girl Scout councils across the country and has expanded to provide even more workshop topics, including themes like graphic design, science, theater, electrical engineering, history, computer coding, and more. Moneyville continues to grow every day by constantly hiring new additions to the team, partnering with new councils, and developing unique content to provide Girl Scouts with an entertaining and accessible way to earn badges. Beyond being thrilled about the platform’s growth into new educational fields, they are even more excited to continue expanding their event offerings with the help of their new friends at Scribble Art Studio!
