Brendan Murphy To Present “Why The Jews?” A Multimedia Presentation On The Long And Tragic History Of Antisemitism on February 26th at the JEA

The entire community is invited to join on Sunday, February 26th from 1:00-3:00pm at the Jewish Educational Alliance for a lecture from Brendan Murphy, award winning educator as well as gifted and highly sought-after speaker.  A deli lunch will be available at 12:00pm for $10.00.  The lecture is free and open for the community.

 
Brendan Murphy
Mr. Murphy received his bachelor’s degree in education and history from the University of Notre Dame and his master’s degree in theology from Spring Hill College.  He has taught at the Marist School in Atlanta since 1994. Mr. Murphy has received the Outstanding Educator Award from the Anne Frank Center, the Abe Goldstein Human Relations Award and Unsung Hero Award from the Anti-Defamation League, 2009 and 2016 Georgia Outstanding Educator of the Year by the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, and Educator of the Year from the University of Notre Dame. Brendan is also a Teacher Fellow at the United States Holocaust Museum and Lerner Fellow at the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous in New York.
