First Tee Savannah Holds Unique 100 Hole Golf Event and Tee Off Party

First Tee Savannah holds its 2nd Annual Golf Marathon, 100 hole event, and Terrace Tee Off Party March 3-4. The 2024 First Tee Savannah Golf Marathon will be held at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.
First Tee invites the community to attend, celebrate and learn more about First Tee Savannah at the Tee Off Party, March 3, 6-8pm. Tee Off Party tickets for those not participating in Golf Marathon are $100. The next day, Monday, March 4th, the Golf Marathon teams will play 100 holes. Three first tee students will be on site to answer questions and allow everyone a glimpse into the impact First Tee is making in Savannah.
First Tee is an international youth development nonprofit that helps kids and teens build their strength of character through golf. First Tee Savannah works diligently to integrate the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way. First Tee Savannah currently has over 13,000 students enrolled from the Savannah area and their 2024 goal is to enroll over 17,000 kids in programming while also increasing our economically disadvantaged students 60%. 48% of program participants are minorities, and 38% female.
To complete 100 holes - build a team. Golf Marathon teams can be 1-4 people. A $2500 commitment is the minimum required for a team of 4. As a golf marathon team, your first team member will have a shotgun start at 7am; each subsequent team member will attend in waves, based on the chart provided by the Landings Golf & Athletic Club. The winner of the golf marathon will be determined by the fundraising total raised but is a guaranteed win for incredible golf experience. The deadline to qualify for the Golf Marathon for fundraising and corporate benefits is Monday, February 26, 2024.

Since launching in 1997, First Tee – Savannah has grown into a preeminent youth development organization seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum. Its network spans 150 chapters with programs delivered at 1,400 golf courses, 10,000 schools and 1,700 youth centers in all 50 states and select international locations. In 2022, First Tee impacted more than 3.4 million kids and teens with more than 10,000 adults - from volunteers, coaches and board members - as well as teachers from
schools across the country working tirelessly to help empower participants.
Ariel Brown, an elementary teacher at Savannah Legacy Academy, has been named 2023 Teacher of the Year by First Tee, The award is presented to one teacher each year who has gone above and beyond in delivering the First Tee School Program, which brings First Tee’s character-building curriculum to thousands of school gyms across the country.
