An Inside Look at Savannah's Road Repaving Process

More than five years ago, the City of Savannah began using a new software to analyze and assess road conditions and prioritize them for repair. It’s a program called Roadbotics that uses a smartphone to survey the road’s surface.

City leaders say the Roadbotics program has cut the time it takes to survey the roads in half. In turn, they say it’s helped them address road conditions faster. We analyzed city data to see how many of Savannah’s roads have been resurfaced since the pandemic.
