Savannah Classical Academy (SCA) announces the opening of a new tuition-based Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) program for the 2024-25 school year. This program will serve up to 22 Pre-K students, offering them an opportunity to benefit from classical education and experience SCA’s core values earlier in their schooling. The Pre-K program will be led by a professionally qualified Early Childhood or Elementary Education degreed teacher supported by a qualified teaching assistant. Students will have various instructional activities in core subject areas, active learning experiences and off-campus events as well as daily naps, and outside play. Students enrolled in Pre-K will have priority enrollment into the following school year’s kindergarten class, which is available free of charge to any student living in Chatham County.

“Savannah Classical Academy is looking forward to introducing a Pre-Kindergarten program beginning this August and the application process is now open,” said CEO Barry Lollis. “At SCA, we understand that the decision about where to enroll your child into a Pre-K program is a very important one. These early years are some of the most important years for a child’s development, and our staff is committed to teaching children in a safe and nurturing environment.”

Pre-K students of SCA will be introduced to classical education during their most developmental years, providing them with an appropriate and content-rich academic instruction that will prepare them for successful entry into kindergarten. An investment in SCA will instill core virtues of compassion, perseverance, responsibility, respect, temperance, integrity, diligence, and courage into the minds of its youngest students.

The mission of SCA is to provide every child with a classical and academically rigorous education while instilling a commitment to civic virtue and moral character. The tuition-based Pre-K program is priced at $175 per week and a $50 application fee is required for application processing. Children must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2024, to enter SCA’s Pre-K program which begins on August 1, 2024 and runs for 36 weeks, mirroring SCA’s K-12 program. Breakfast and lunch meal service is available via the school’s nutrition program. For more information, please visit https://savannahclassicalacademy.org/sca-pre-k
