City Officials and Local Businesses Meet Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day Festivities

The City of Savannah calls St Patrick’s Day their Super Bowl. The city met with local business owners and residents earlier Tuesday evening to discuss what they can expect this year.

City officials says a few changes will be coming into play this year, mainly in regards to the open container law. Here in downtown, they will be expanding it to Victory Drive to Truman Park, and MLK. Of course, the question is whether St Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, but the city has taken precautions and will be allowing alcohol sales to continue on Sunday. But that’s not the only thing the city it focusing on.
