Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center to Raise Awareness with Blue Ribbons for National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Tuesday, March 26th, 2024
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and Coastal Children’s Advocacy Center (CCAC) is raising awareness in the Savannah community with a special event on Monday, April 1. That morning at 9 a.m. in Forsyth Park, members of the community are invited to help CCAC tie blue ribbons, a symbol of child abuse prevention, around Forsyth Park's iconic oak trees to bring public awareness to National Child Abuse Prevention Month. CCAC kindly asks participants to meet by the tennis courts at the southeast corner of the park, near the intersection of Drayton Street and Park Avenue.
“At CCAC, we strive to provide educational resources and information on the indicators of child abuse and recognize the pivotal role our community members can play in combating this growing epidemic,” said Executive Director Rose Grant-Wiseman, CCAC. “We ask the community to help us raise awareness by joining us at this powerful kick-off event on April 1st.
