Moneyville by VicTreeFi is a company dedicated to helping Girl Scouts of all ages earn badges virtually by providing an online platform and community where parents and troop leaders can complete live Zoom workshops, on-demand courses, and in-person project kits. This fall, they have partnered with Peck’s Party Emporium of Port Wentworth, to design brand new online courses that help their Girl Scout users across the country earn art-related badges!

Although Moneyville’s original focus was providing fun and engaging educational content surrounding financial literacy badges, due to a high level of interest, they have now expanded to offering a larger range of courses and live workshops, including a variety of art-themed classes. They most recently partnered with Scribble Art Studio in Savannah to co-host a variety of live art workshops on their site, including classes like “Drawing with Glitter” and “Ice Cream Cone Sculpture.” Girl Scouts can find a large number of other art event listings on the site year-round. Moneyville’s emphasis on bringing different artists’ expertise to their online workshops has caused a surge of interest from their many Girl Scout users, which has led them to continue finding new partnerships like their latest with Peck’s Party Emporium – a local party boutique and balloon shop run by Shannon Peck. Not only is Shannon an expert in party planning, but she is also a talented balloon artist, which is exactly the skillset she displays in her newly launched on-demand course with Moneyville! On March 1, Moneyville officially released this online course where Girl Scouts can earn their Art & Design badge with Shannon as their virtual instructor. The class includes a balloon art kit sent to their homes, an interview with Shannon about the balloon art industry, interactive activities throughout, and Shannon’s flower balloon art tutorial the Girl Scouts use to complete their own balloon flowers at home!

With its female CEO, Chrissy Flemming, as a former Girl Scout and finance fanatic, Moneyville began as a way to provide Girl Scouts with online workshops surrounding financial literacy - a topic that she noticed is often overlooked for young women. Now three years from the program’s launch, it has grown into something momentous! The Moneyville team currently partners with over 50 Girl Scout councils across the country and has expanded to provide even more workshop topics, including themes like graphic design, science, theater, electrical engineering, history, computer programming, and more. Moneyville continues to grow every day by adding new team members, partnering with new councils, and developing unique content to provide Girl Scouts with an entertaining and accessible way to earn badges. Beyond being thrilled about the platform’s growth into new educational fields, they are even more excited to continue expanding their event offerings with the help of their new friend, Shannon, at Peck’s Party Emporium!
