Interstate Health Launches First Community Urgent & Primary Care Services in Port Wentworth

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, March 7th, 2024

Port Wentworth now has an urgent and primary care facility for all residents, workers and visitors as Interstate Health expands its services. This innovative walk-in medical clinic opened last fall to serve commercial drivers and has now increased capacity to serve the wider community with extensive medical facilities and services.

For many years, Port Wentworth has not offered any medical facilities so residents, travelers and workers have had to travel to Savannah, Pooler or Effingham County to access these services. Interstate Health recognized this need and now offers urgent and primary care to anybody needing medical help in addition to continuing with its specialist commercial truck driving services.

“We love being part of this fast growing and dynamic community and saw that Port Wentworth needed urgent and primary care open to anybody living, working or visiting here,” said Interstate Health Chief Executive Officer Jeff Seraphine. “We encourage everyone to try and recommend our high quality urgent and preventative care.”

Conveniently located at Port Fuel Center, 5712 Highway 21, Suite 300 in Port Wentworth, Interstate Health is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and the majority of all visits are concluded within 30 minutes. Accepting walk ins and appointments, accepting all major insurance and with affordable self-pay options, Interstate Health offers plenty of parking for any vehicle. The range of services includes, treating non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, preventative care and wellness visits, physicals, testing, vaccines, drug screening and more, as well as DOT physicals and compliance for commercial truck drivers.
