Leopold's Ice Cream, Live Oak Public Libraries team up for 14th Annual Creative Writing Challenge

Leopold’s, Savannah’s favorite ice cream company, and
Live Oak Public Libraries, are partnering once again to host the 14th Annual Leopold’s Ice
Cream Creative Writing Challenge.

Students in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties are invited to creatively express their thoughts, through poetry. This year’s theme is “The Magic of Words.”

The contest opens Monday, March 25, and runs through Monday, April 22 and is open to all students (public, private and homeschool) in Chatham, Effingham and Liberty Counties.

One finalist from each of four categories (K-Second Grade, Third to Fifth Grade, Sixth to Eighth Grade and High School) will win a Leopold’s Ice Cream party for their classroom.

Winners will read their poem to the mayor at Savannah City Hall, on May 15 at 1 p.m.

Beginning Monday, March 25, poetry entries may be submitted online at liveoakpl.org/leopolds or in physical form at any Live Oak Public Libraries branch.
