The Savannah Police Department is proud to announce the launch of a groundbreaking Community Engagement app, developed in collaboration with Lighthouse for Public Safety.  This new app is designed to strengthen the connection between SPD and the Savannah community by offering a range of interactive and informative features.

The Community Engagement app serves as a comprehensive platform where residents can stay informed about the latest activities and initiatives of the Savannah Police Department. With a user-friendly interface, the app is tailored to meet the needs of the community, fostering a safer and more informed Savannah.

Key Features of the Community Engagement App:

• Eyes and Ears: The app provides a secure and anonymous way for individuals to report tips, helping to solve crimes and address community concerns. Users can also upload photos and videos.

• Press Releases: Users will be notified and can view all SPD press releases. 

• Instant Push Notifications: Users can receive real-time alerts and updates directly from SPD, ensuring that residents are the first to know about important news and emergency situations.

• Reporting Crime: Users can file and track a police report on-line.

• Keep Savannah Safe: Users can register and integrate their cameras via the app.

• 311: Access Savannah 311 to request or track a service.

• Social media: View and engage on all SPD social media platforms.

• Community Calendar: Keep up to date on upcoming SPD community events.

“The Community Engagement app is another way the Savannah Police Department is leveraging technology to improve public safety and increase transparency,” said Lenny B. Gunther, Savannah Police Chief.  “This app provides easy access to resources while facilitating community participation in crime prevention.”   

SPD invites all Savannah residents to download the Community Engagement app, available for free on both iOS and Android platforms. By joining hands with the police department through this app, community members can contribute to making Savannah a safer place for everyone.
