City to Hold Open House Events for Georgia Cities Week

The City of Savannah will be participating in Georgia Cities Week beginning on April 23. 

In celebration of this annual event, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association, the City of Savannah will host 10 open house events to showcase various City service centers. These events will be free and open to the public. 

Georgia Cities Week is an annual event offering municipalities throughout the state of Georgia the opportunity to share information about various services their cities provide to residents.  

The ten events will be held on Tuesday, April 23, Friday April 26and Saturday April 27. The service centers that will hold events include Community Services, Savannah Fire, Savannah Police, Information & Public Affairs, Government Operations, Management Services, Planning & Economic Development, and Water Resources.

  • Human Resources (9 a.m.  – 12 p.m.) Civic Center Ballroom, 301 W. Oglethorpe Ave.;

  • Water Resources (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.), DeRenne Stormwater Pump Station, 1355 E DeRenne Ave.; 

  • Municipal Archives (12 p.m. – 2 p.m.), City Hall, 2 E. Bay Street;

  • Development Services (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.), Adams Complex, 20 Interchange Dr.; 

  • Savannah Police (4 p.m. – 6 p.m.), Savannah Impact Building, 2005 Waters Ave., Suite 205

  • Economic Development (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.), Savannah Entrepreneurial Center, 801 E. Gwinnet; 

  • Revenue (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.), Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St.; 

  • Community Services (12 p.m. – 4 p.m.), Savannah Cultural Arts Center, 201 Montgomery St.; 

  • Park and Tree (tours starting at 2 p.m.), Forsyth Park Fountain (Registration is required and space is limited, information on how to register will be posted to the city’s website and social media)
