Hospice Savannah Hosts We Remember Mama Luncheon Featuring Pastor Ricky Temple & Supporting Storykeeping Efforts

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, April 17th, 2024

Hospice Savannah invites you to join us for We Remember Mama, a truly wonderful event, celebrating and honoring our mothers and the women who helped to raise us.

Join us, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Savannah Golf Club, when we will toast our mothers with champagne and share cherished stories. This luncheon supports Hospice Savannah Foundation’s Story Keeping Program, one of our Healing Arts, which gathers memories of life stories from our patients for their loved ones to cherish for generations to come.

This year’s honored “Mama” is the late Laura Temple, mother of Pastor Ricky Temple, senior pastor of Overcoming Faith Ministries. Pastor Temple is a renowned minister, worship leader, and speaker with over four decades of experience. As senior pastor of Overcoming by Faith Ministries in Savannah, Georgia, he has pioneered innovative approaches to ministry, including a digital-physical platform, and as an author and consultant, he is dedicated to nurturing not only his congregation but also other leaders, families, and churches.

One of our Story Keepers and Full Circle Bereavement Counselor August Alderman, will interview Pastor Temple, sharing family stories of his mother and his upbringing. This interview will be the highlight of the luncheon and help to feature the unique offering that is Story Keeping and the continuation of the legacy of founding Story Keeper Dottie Klutz.
