GDOT Discusses Contraflow Plan on I-16 for Hurricane Season

Hurricane season starts this Saturday and we’ve had many viewers reaching out to us, concerned about how a hurricane evacuation would work with all the construction that’s happening on I-16.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says they do have a plan in place if a hurricane evacuation were ordered. If you have been through a hurricane in our area before, you have probably heard of contraflow on I-16.
