Lauren Davenport Named One of ZWEIG Groups Rising Stars

Thomas & Hutton Project Manager Lauren Davenport, PE, LEED AP, PMP was named one of Zweig Group’s 2024 Rising Stars. Rising Stars in the AEC Industry recognizes young professionals whose exceptional technical capability, leadership ability, effective teaching or research, or public service has benefited the design professions, their employers, project owners, and society.
Lauren is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia and Florida, a Project Management Professional, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. She brings a decade of experience in designing and managing infrastructure and systems that support industrial, commercial construction, and transportation projects for both public and private clients. Her role in construction management includes diverse projects such as public parks, historical hotel renovations, and cutting-edge data technology centers.
Lauren leads Thomas & Hutton's pre-development/program management/special projects team and provides essential support to Effingham and Bryan Counties, Georgia. Prior to her current role, she managed feasibility studies, roadway projects, and ITS-related initiatives across the Florida Panhandle as a consultant to the Florida Department of Transportation. Additionally, Lauren oversaw commercial construction projects in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, showcasing her diverse expertise and leadership capabilities in various regions and industries.
Lauren serves as President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Savannah and is an active member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association. She volunteers for youth arts non-profit Loop It Up Savannah and Habitat for Humanity of the Coastal Empire. Lauren presents to middle and high school students in the local communities, focusing on the importance and benefits of pursuing a career in STEM. In addition to her philanthropic and professional activities, Lauren is an active Fleet Feet Savannah Running Club member, regularly participating in races benefiting local charities.
