Local Author Teaming Up with Paula Deen for Joint Book Signing

Rebekah Faulk Lingenfelser, private chef and author of Some Kinda Good and Unique Eats and Eateries of Savannah, is teaming up with Paula Deen for a joint book signing at The Lady and Sons, 102 W. Congress St., on June 22 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wristbands will be distributed while supplies last to those who make any purchase in the Paula Deen Store beginning at 9 a.m. on the day of the signing. One wristband will be distributed per person.
The newest local interest book in a national series published by Reedy Press, Unique Eats and Eateries of Savannahfeatures more than 80 of the city’s food establishments, including The Lady and Sons on page 34, and showcases the people and stories behind the food.
“Paula Deen paved the way for women like me in food media and culinary entertainment,” said Lingenfelser. “As a loyal fan of hers for many years, through her cooking shows and cookbooks, she taught me the art of Southern, coastal cuisine. I am so grateful for her generosity in introducing me to her fans, and this day is surely one I will never forget.”
This event comes on the heels of Lingenfelser’s graduation from Savannah Technical College’s Culinary Institute of Savannah and the sixth anniversary of her Food Network Star debut.
