Tybee Island City Council to Vote on Short-Term Rental Ordinance

The fate of short-term rentals on Tybee Island will be decided at a council meeting Thursday and the mayor of the city tells WTOC, it’s likely they’ll be banned.
Some people on the island are in favor of the ban and say that they want Tybee to return to the resident-oriented island it once was. Others say that a ban on short-term rentals will hurt tourism which is indisputably the biggest economy on the island.
