Westside Residents Invited to June 15 ‘Pop-up in the Parks’
Monday, June 10th, 2024
The City of Savannah Economic Development Department invites residents of westside Savannah neighborhoods to stop by an upcoming “Pop-up in the Park” event.
On Saturday June 15, staff will be at Bowles C. Ford Park between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and at Fellwood Park between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. During the pop-up events, City staffers will distribute free summer fun kits and cold refreshments, while collecting survey responses from adult attendees.
The survey is anonymous and takes about a minute to complete. Data collected from the surveys will be used to plan future giveaways and neighborhood improvements.1```````````````````````````
The summer fun kits include a $20 Forsyth Farmers’ Market voucher, a reusable drawstring bag, a kickball, a jump rope, a cooling towel, and a rechargeable handheld fan. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
The pop-up events and giveaways are made possible through funding the City received from a CDC ACTion grant. For more about the goals of the ACTion grant, visit www.savannahga.gov/sdoh.
