The 200 Club announces the appointment of Jeffrey F. Jepson as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Jepson is a principal at Evans General Contractors, a major sponsor of the 200 Club, where he currently serves as its Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. He oversees eight U.S. based offices in the United States as well as one office in Germany, that collectively generate over two billion dollars of revenue per year. Jepson served seven years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and another six years as a Military Academy Liaison Officer to the admissions office at the United States Military Academy at West Point. After finishing his company command at Hunter Army Airfield, he and his wife Donna chose to stay in Savannah and raise their family. Jepson began a career in real estate which has included development, brokerage, and construction. Locally, he has served on the Military Civilian Relations Council of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Board of the First Tee Organization, The Live Oak Public Libraries Foundation, and the Ash Tree Organization Board.

Jepson and Evan’s General Contractors have been supporters of the 200 Club for many years and sponsored events such as the Valor Awards and Law Enforcement luncheon. “On behalf of the board of directors and our membership, we welcome Jeff’s leadership as our new Chairman. As a veteran and someone dedicated to public service, he has shown an exceptional commitment to our area’s first responders. Evan’s General Contractors has been extremely supportive of the 200 Club for which we are very grateful,” said Mark Dana, 200 Club President and CEO.

After a line-of-duty death, the 200 Club provides a one-time financial contribution to the surviving family members and provides a fully paid college education – including tuition, room and board, textbooks and a computer – to a fallen first responder’s children and spouse. Once the 200 Club responds to a family, it’s a lifetime commitment. Every year following the loss of a first responder, financial assistance is provided to families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with red roses on Mother’s Day.

The 200 Club is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides for the surviving spouses and dependents of first responders who have lost their lives or sustained critical injuries in the line of duty. The 200 Club serves a 20-county area within Georgia and South Carolina. To date, the 200 Club has given over $3.8 million to families and have become a respected voice of the community’s appreciation for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
