Joie de Vivre Art Market, August 4, 2024

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, July 31st, 2024

The Jewish Educational Alliance (JEA) is pleased to announce the upcoming Joie de Vivre Art Market on Sunday, August 4th from 12-4pm in the large auditorium. Over 30 vendors with works ranging from Jewelry to Pottery and Painting will be featured. This free admission event is family friendly and a food truck will be on site.

What is Joie de Vivre? It’s a concept coined in the early 20th century by the pioneering Jewish sociologist Émile Durkheim to describe the sense of energy and harmony people feel when they come together in a group around a shared purpose. “Realizing how difficult it is to schedule group shows for artists during the sweltering summer months, we look forward to hosting an air conditioned event where local creatives can come together, celebrate their skill and sell art to the Savannah community” says CEO Adam Solender. The Joie de Vivre Art Market will help fund JEA art programs and future shows featured in the Montag Gallery.

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE JEA

The JEA serves as the meeting place for Jewish people and Savannah neighbors to build relationships with all groups concerned with enriching community life.
