The City of Savannah’s Cultural Resources Department has launched a new program for youth in high school to become directly involved in arts and cultural programming in the City of Savannah.

The Junior Cultural Affairs Commission (Jr. CAC) program allows youth to gain volunteer hours by participating as advisors to the Cultural Affairs Commission. Students will review Cultural-Contribution funded programs, supply input on how art and cultural programming impacts local youth and their communities. Students will also help to develop future art, culture, and history programming.

Jr. CAC is open to students in grades 9-12 in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System, as well as private schools in the city of Savannah. Applications close on Aug. 31.
